Product release: user technical background, resizable video window, and more
HackerPen is a platform to give and receive mock interviews. The purpose of this product is to help people and companies seize tech opportunities that shape their life and environment.
This week, we released a few new features and enhancements:
- User technical background
- Make video window resizable
- Enhance “give interviews” scheduling tool
User technical background
We ask users to provide their industry experience, programming languages, and areas of expertise as part of their profile. This will help match users better for mock interviews (e.g. “I am looking for someone who specializes in backend with 10+ years of experience.”)
Additionally, interviewer’s and interviewee’s profiles will be sent as part of the e-introductions of a scheduled interview.
Make video window resizable
Users now can minimize video chat window during an interview. This makes an interview session more flexible according to users’ preference. Shout out to Alex Krentz for this feature!
Enhance “give interviews” scheduling tool
We added a small enhance on the interviewer’s scheduling page. When an interviewee books a date from an interviewer, instead of starting from the current date, the schedule will start from their first available day. Shout out to Ian Douglas who suggested this feature!
